John's Ministry
John has been singing since he was a young boy in his father's church. Through the years, John has been through many circumstances that have tested and increased his faith and trust in the Lord. This sincerity is felt by those who hear him sing, teach and preach. John realizes that this ability to reach others is a gift from God and does not look to glorify himself but to help others with his ministry and glorify our Lord.
John's Testimony
John has a testimony that ministers to both the lost and to the saved that are hurting or have fallen away from the Lord. He can share his experience of being raised a pastor's son and going to the altar at an early age and saying the words to be saved but was under no conviction of the Holy Spirit. He will also tell how the Lord dealt with his heart later at age 10, and then again when he was 17 when he finally truly came to Christ.
He then will share how after his wife left him, he drifted away from the Lord and sought comfort in the world. This was very dissatisfying and the prayers of his parents and the loving kindness of the Holy Spirit drew him back to church. When he came back around, it was the love of his church family and the tenderness of the Holy Spirit that touched his heart, and showed him that God still loved him and still had a plan for his life.
John's Family
John's family consists of his wife, Amy and four sons, Andrew, Trent, Nicholas and Nathan. John is the son of Rev. Lloyd and Mrs. Ernestine Ferguson who had a huge influence on his singing ministry. His mother's death in 2005 from breast cancer was a huge loss but led to his wife's salvation. Amy's diagnosis with breast cancer one year later has taught them to trust the Lord even more and has given them opportunities to witness to others affected with this disease.
